1-Rinpung Dzong Paro

This Buddhist architecture is very beautiful to watch for and this area is filled with beautiful shrines and temples. Such as Kungarwa, Monk’s assembly hall, Sandalwood stupa, protector’s shrine and so on.

Tshechu is the annual festival that is regularly organized at Rinpung Dzong and it starts from the 11th to the 15th day of the second month of the Bhutanese lunar calendar (March or April). During this event, sacred photos are used in the parade followed by classic mask dances and are carried out by the monks by telling the religious story. On the 15th day, early in the morning before the dawn, a holy photo consisting of 8 display of Padmasambhava is shown to the public, to keep to the tradition of not allowing sunlight to fall on it.

3-Punakha Dzong
